BCSD to Offer Free Meals to Students at All Schools for '23-'24 School Year

The Baldwin County School District is participating in Georgia's Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program which provides nutritious meals to students. By eliminating the need for meal applications and providing free meals to every student regardless of income, the school district is ensuring that all students have access to healthy meals, which can have a positive impact on their learning and overall well-being.

The support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs is crucial in making these meals possible. These federal programs play a significant role in ensuring that students across the country have access to balanced and nutritious meals, regardless of their economic backgrounds.

By offering healthy meals at no charge, Baldwin County School District is helping to address food insecurity and ensuring that students can focus on their studies without worrying about hunger or inadequate nutrition. This initiative is likely to benefit many families in the district and contribute to a more conducive learning environment for all students. See the official statement from the U.S. Department of Agriculture below.
