Georgia College Early College (GCEC) proudly announces the expansion of its esteemed program to include a 6th-grade class starting in August 2024. This development marks a significant milestone for GCEC, furthering its commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities for students.


An informational meeting for parents of fifth-grade students is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 5:30 PM, at the Baldwin County Board of Education. Parents eager to enroll their current 5th graders into the GCEC program for 6th grade are encouraged to complete the online application available at the provided link below by Friday, March 22, 2024. The application process serves as the first step towards securing placement in this prestigious program.


Dr. Runee B. Sallad, Director of Georgia College Early College, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome our inaugural 6th-grade class to GCEC. This expansion not only reflects our growth as a program but also our dedication to fostering academic excellence at an earlier stage in students' educational journey."


Acceptance notifications will be sent to parents and students by March 29th, allowing families ample time to plan for the upcoming academic year.
