National Social Work Month

Writer's picture: BCSDBCSD

March is designated as National Social Work Month. We take the time to learn more about the many positive contributions of the profession and show our appreciation for the important services our social workers provide for Baldwin County students, staff, and families. The theme for 2022 is "The Time is Right for Social Work." The purpose of the theme is to highlight the invaluable contributions social workers make in our society, especially as this nation addresses the COVID-19 pandemic. Within National Social Work Month, we also recognize the important work performed by school social workers during National School Social Work Week, March 6-12, 2022. This year's theme is titled "Time to Shine".

Please join us in honoring and thanking our school social worker, Ola Scott-Little, for her time and commitment to serving the various needs of our students, staff, and families. We also want to thank Donna James and Willie Mae Wright who work very closely with Mrs. Scott-Little to support our families. Together, they are able to light the way, emphasizing the whole child, collaborating with other professionals, linking students and families with needed services, and advocating for the needs of our students.
