Dr. Runee Sallad Receives Georgia College Alumni's 2024 Keepers of the Promise Award


The Georgia College African American Alumni Council recently hosted its annual "Night Under the Stars" event. It was a night that shone brightly with recognition, particularly for Dr. Runee Sallad, who was honored with the prestigious 2024 Keepers of the Promise Award. Dr. Sallad, Director of the Georgia College Early College Program and a devoted educator with 30 years of service in Georgia, was celebrated for her unwavering commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and community upliftment.


The evening was hosted by Nadirah Mayweather, Director of Alumni Relations, and welcomed by Georgia College President Cathy Cox, J.D., setting a tone of gratitude and celebration. Seth Walker, Vice President for University Advancement, praised the award recipients, highlighting their indelible impact on the communities they serve.
